Austin Powers is frozen in the 1960’s and thawed out in the 1990’s so that he can fight his arch nemesis, Dr. Evil. He must stop Dr. Evil from controlling the world, but first he must understand the ’90’s is not the ’60’s.
Austin Powers is always trying to get with his sidekick Ms. Kensington. Can he win her heart?
This comedy is truly funny stuff. Austin is a fish out of water or really just out of time. It is a good versus evil in the funniest sense of the struggle. This is a spy movie where the hero thinks he is cool, and he once was. Now he is just a bit out of touch.
A black parody movie about a hero gathering former heroes to exact justice on Mr. Big. Jack Spade enlists Shaft, Superfly, and Black Caesar to help him get his revenge.
Hilarious, seriously, this is a funny film in the parody film sense. You get all of the action heroes along with the outrages comedy of this ’80’s film.
Simon Fuzz and Nick Frost in Hot Fuzz, ha ha ha. Nicolas Angel is an awesome big city cop who everyone hate because he is so good at his job. He gets transferred to a small town that is a bit off.
Nicolas’s new partner is an idiot. They investigate some odd deaths and find themselves in car chases, gun fights, and dealing out justice.
This is a great action, comedy film. It was definitely written by a man. It just goes, goes, goes and you will find yourself laughing and cheering as only a Simon Fuzz film can make you do.
Dennis Dole, played by Simon Pegg, is going to run the London marathon to win the respect and love of Libby, the woman he left pregnant at the alter five years ago. Seriously, how is running a marathon going to make up for the fact that Dennis is a true loser.
This is a Simon Pegg film so it is funny. You find yourself rooting for Dennis and wham you get hit with a dose of funny. It is one of Simon’s weaker films, but still very funny.
Refer Madness was designed as a scare film to warn children and parents about the dangers of marijuana. Take just a little puff of the evil green stuff and it will turn you into a murderer and a hussy.
The absurdity of this film is what makes it so funny. It is an over the top scare film as only the 1930’s can produce.
Stay away from the green stuff kids. It will ruin your life.
Rob Schneider is the Hot Chick, is about a creep Rob Schneider trading places with a hot chick and hilarity ensues. This is about as funny as you would imagine Rob Schneider dealing with the turmoils of being a hot teenage girl.
There is the flip side with the hot chick Jessica Spencer waking up as a man, but the comedy is in Rob Schneider’s role. This is pretty stereotypical stuff, and it will make you laugh.
Eddie Izzard might be a transvestite, but he is an executive transvestite.
Eddie Izzard is hilarious. Laugh until you cry funny. Even the bits in French are roll on the floor funny. Eddie makes everything flow together and circles around with his comedy. He sets up a laugh for a while before he drops the punch line.
His clothing adds to the humor, but is not funny unto itself. Eddie can tell a story and draw you in. Eddie can make fun of the audience and not be cruel.
Check out this comedy special because it is so incredibly funny.
This movie is not for everyone. It is lower budget and the story is not for everyone.
Two friends living in New York are navigating love. The male friend has a boyfriend, but there is a catch. His boyfriend also likes girls and is having urges.
He suggests that his boyfriend and his best friend hook up to satisfy both of their needs. This is never a good idea.
Now how will this relationship end? Who will ultimately end up with the boy?
I personally enjoyed this movie, but I still only give it a 3/5 overall.
Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz in a comedy about that girl. Mary, played by Cameron Diaz, is loved by all. Everyone wants her, especially Ted. Ted had his chance as a teenager and royally messed up. Years later he wants a second chance and hires a private detective to track her down.
This movie is laugh out loud funny and down right uncomfortable at times. This is a raunchy, romantic, comedy so if you like that this is the movie for you.
Uncle Buck is a classic John Candy movie. The thing I remember most about this movie is the cursing. Uncle Buck, played by John Candy, is crude, crass, and family.
They let him in because they feel as family that they have to, but he is unconventional. This movie is hilarious as only a late eighties movie can be. They let Uncle Buck babysit and somehow he manages to pull it off.
If it one of my favorite movies, no, but it is funny.
